Tom Sparks is a Chicago-area musician, songwriter and producer, who has written, performed, recorded and produced hundreds of songs with many different artists throughout his musical career.
An accomplished musician, Tom has played drums, guitar, bass and keyboards in many Chicago-area bands over his career. In 1998, he decided to stop playing live gigs and concentrate solely on the one thing he enjoys most – collaborating with others to write and record original songs to market them to other artists, producers, publishers and music libraries within the Music Industry. Since that time, he’s worked with some truly outstanding songwriters and performers, including Kim Stewart, Melissa Richard, Diane Richardson, Teri Weston, John Calabrese, Lori Clark, Rik Mallin, The Garritys, Jill Dawson, Melody Mallin, Stacy Donahue, Andi Morici and Amy Carlson.
Tom is an active member of Taxi, The Chicago Songwriters Collective, Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), and a voting member of The Recording Academy. He likes great, well-crafted songs more than any particular musical genre, and always likes to try something new in order to make the song more memorable for the listener.
