It doesn't matter how physically strong you are, or how badass you think you are. Even speed isn't as important as the skill you have. This is stuff Legend taught me. I was aware of it, but Legend is the kind of person you listen to when it comes to these things. I study the snake style, and I also study the philosophy of martial arts. I try to avoid fighting as much as possible for real, but I love to spar and train. I am a very small guy, who is relatively weak. I still have won fights where the odds are against me, and I've won fights where I didn't throw a punch. If this confuses some people, they should learn about Bruce Lee, and the art of fighting without fighting. I like to subdue, outsmart, or grapple my opponent. I almost grappled Shadow successfully when sparring, but he's too fucking good. LOL! He picked me up and I couldn't hold on to him, slamming me into the concrete. Which was lame, as it was no longer sparring. I felt that one for weeks. Shadow is the man, though. I wondered if I am a Spartan, and I may instead be an Athenian. A god from Mt. Olympus... I am indeed a Greek by blood. A philosopher, an oracle. I study the words of the ancients, perhaps I am not a Spartan, but an Athenian. A man of the same land, of the same blood. Union Square, the new ancient Greece.

this thursday, july 24th, 2008 from 7pm until.... the last spartan stands, the union square spartans are going 2 central park.
the challenge will be held in strawberry fields. (map quest it, out of towners)
we challenge all, (especially the tough guys)
we will leave union square 14th st, by 6:30 the latest.
come one, come all and find out why we are the best @ what we do....
be there or shut up..
