Esistono appuntamenti ai quali se si ama quello che in ogni lingua del mondo si definisce R O C K non si può mancare!
Che eludono le convenzioni e tendono a crearne di nuove ed attuali.

E' di questo che si occupa sPAZIO211 a Torino, impavido verso la produzione, diffusione e valorizzazione dell'innovazione artistica ed in particolare a quella musicale.

Luglio 2009. A Torino transiterà la quintessenza della produzione Rock indipendente preservata dal mainstream imperante insieme alla produzione Rock di grido tutelata dall’indipendenza di moda, in una delle pochissime lande che non si abbandona alla corrente ma tenta di dare ossigeno all'asfissia artistica-culturale.

Eventi live di band alternative italiane e straniere in uno spazio libero fuori dai canonici luoghi commerciali.
Un cartellone che presenta date uniche italiane con artisti e band che si sono distinti principalmente in questa stagione musicale.
Uno spiazzale nel cuore dell'anima popolare di Torino, quella Barriera di Milano che è l’inizio di qualcosa o la fine di qualcos’altro, preservato dal mainstream imperante e che si fa enclave per raccogliere, accudire e devolvere granelli di oro dentro sacchetti trasparenti di domopack: si chiama sPAZIO211, un piccolo miracolo di abnegazione, sacrificio e passione.
Un cartellone che non ha mai ripetuto un solo nome.

Un festival che non è solo una sequenza di concerti, ma una serie di eventi unici, di socializzazione altra e diversa, di un biglietto che diviene una sorta di azionariato popolare a sostegno della causa, di banchetti e sottoculture, di zona liberata da qualcosa che altrove angoscia ed opprime e qui libera e accoglie.
Musiche che esplorano ciò che sarà anziché limitarsi a constatare ciò che già esiste.
sPAZIO211 si è fatto enclave per raccogliere, accudire, devolvere gemme musicali internazionali: roba per buongustai della massoneria chitarristica.

Missione:
non basta dire non importa.
E’ semplicemente la musica a formare le nostre opinioni.
Qualcuno si sentirà fregato.
A qualcun altro salverà la vita.

A parallel Space made of independent musical forms, which defy conventions and tend to create new and current ones.

This is what sPAZIO211 in Torino deals with: an underground festival created with the aim to produce, spread and enhance artistic innovations, and focused in particular on music.

Live events of Italian and foreign Alternative Bands in a free space, out of the rules of commercial commonplaces.
A line up which mainly presents only concert appearances in Italy for Artists and Bands that have distinguished themselves in the latest music season.
A line up which, in all these years of activity, has never ever repeated itself.

Musical forms aimed to explore the future instead of aping what already exists.

sPAZIALE Festival has been launched during Summer 2002 and has established itself in the city as the “alternative oasis” for free artistic vocation: organised in Parco Sempione (Sempione Park), in via Cigna 211 (the name Spazio211 was inspired by the location), the festival represents the quintessence of the first class independent Rock production of the last years, both Italian and foreign, and it has created one of the few places where music is not infected by mainstream.
sPAZIALE has been immediately unanimously proclaimed one of the best summer festival of Italy, and its increasing fame has climbed over the Italian borders.
SPAZIALE confirm itself as the one and only festival where “another music” is possible.
sPAZIO211 has become an enclave aimed to welcome and devolve international “musical gems”: fine material for “connoisseurs” of the “Freemasonry of the guitar”.

give new oxygen to the artistic-cultural scene asphyxia, digging under the surface of commercial commonplaces in search of new languages and sounds.

sPAZIO211 è il primo festival italiano a consolidare un rapporto di media partner EUROSONIC (Unione Europea RadioTelevisione-EBU), che è la più grande associazione professionale di Radio e Televisioni pubbliche del mondo esportando in diretta i live del festival (come accade con famosi festival nel mondo quali Roskilde, Transmusicales, Benicassim, Paleo, Montreux,…) a circa 500 milioni di ascoltatori potenziali.

sPAZIO211 is the first Italian Festival to consolidate the media partnership with EUROSONIC (www.eurosonic.net ).
Eurosonic is the biggest professional association worldwide of public TV and Radio stations, and it stand for broadcasts of live events/festivals (for example big festivals such as Roskilde, Transmusicales, Benicassim, Paleo, Montreux,…) to about 500 millions of potential listeners.
