I used to be in a band, we used to open for Chris Isaak (he really liked one of my vintage guitars), the Go-Go's (Charlotte Caffey said I had one of the best voices she had ever heard), Social Distortion, the Psychedellic Furs, the Ocean Blue, 4 Non Blondes, the Mighty Lemon Drops, the Call and on and on.

Books
THE BIBLE, anything by Dean Kootz and Stephen King, also True Crime novels (I love to solve the cases before the end of the book, and you just have to love a good psychopath or sociopath - it makes me feel somewhat normal.)
Heroes
Christ, my dad, my mom, my sister and her family, Gahndi, Bono, my friends for putting up with me, every man that stands up for who they are and what they believe no matter what the consequence, Mother Theresa, Billy Graham.
About me: I am just an ordinary guy . . . I love deeply . . . maybe too deeply for some. I have a big heart and care for people. I believe I have an ability to forgive, and to inspire others to fulfill their own dreams. It's really not who we are that matters as much as who we aspire to be. Judge me by my dreams, not my failures. I aspire to be a good man, full of love, and mercy. I hope that one day I will be known as that above all else that I do. I love music . . .I love travel . . . I like my car a whole lot (Honda S2000-red). You can also find me at spdoty@aol.com or as Sean Patrick Doty on Facebook.
Used to be lead singer and guitarist for Veil or Veil of Ashes. Released the album Negro in 1989. The album Pain the same year . . . had a number 3 song off that one. 1991 released The Young and the Reckless - the regression of Veil of Ashes. In 1993 released Mr. Sunshine. And in 1997 released a solo album entitled Unveiled. Have also written for other artists including the Choir, and several songs written for musicals. Look for a very recent exclusive interview and chapter on me in the soon to be released book entitled, "God's Not Dead (and neither are we)", by Jerry Wilson.
LOVE IS PATIENT . . . AND KIND . . . IT DOES NOT ENVY. . . IT IS NOT PROUD . . .IT THINKS ONLY GOOD . . . IT REJOICES IN GOODNESS . . . LOVE BARES ALL THINGS . . . BELIEVES ALL THINGS . . . HOPES ALL THINGS . . . ENDURES ALL THINGS . . . LOVE WILL NEVER FAIL.

Who I'd like to meet: People that aren't fake, don't lie, aren't selfish, and know what love is. My daughter Shae Ashley, I miss the brightness and happiness she brings to life.
