Here's the progression: Punk rock leads to a drummer becoming a guitarist. A guitarist leaves leads to a rock band with another drummer. Drummer drops sticks and buys african percussion leads to a guitar duo picking up an old bass player from a failed punk rock attempt. Fastforward 6 years through 2 mediocre to awful albums and the ill-advised band name Basement Coffee House and you find speakeasy. David has taken his classical guitar chops back to folk music and whipped up a batch of new songs full of vivid pictures and intense guitar arrangements. Andrew has stepped back from his jazz ventures to add his sensibilities to this newest of projects while Josh and Aaron added rhythm parts with all the folky shuffle and finesse available today. What we have now is an 8 song CD about to be printed called "Ocean Overhead" as well as a lengthy album/essay response to be explained later. Shows will be added soon, and the music is about to begin.

So, I was in the car yesterday, and I found myself singing the jet trails in the sky song. And I've only listened to it like, twice. So, it's very catchy and very good. I like it a lot. :)
