Speak of the South was formed in the spring of 2007 by Dan Remington, Joey Burtoft and Zac Hollinger, who all had the common goal of writing music that would not only make people move, but inspire others to get into the local music scene and start their own bands. Since that time the band has added Ryne Streeter on bass and Aaron McCarty on vocals. After a few months they made the final exchange of vocals to Travis Goodman. Since then they have traveled regionally in several different states and performed with nationally touring bands such as Miss May I and The Burial. The band's main goal however remains to build back a dying music scene in their hometown of Warsaw, IN and give kids a place to go on Friday and Saturday nights when they don't wanna stay at home with their parents. All This while ceaselessly pushing the limits of southern hardcore
