New song: "My Sweet Girl" was written by Sue Lopez and Cece Cook. Cece battled lung cancer for nearly 5 years and this song expresses her love for her daughter Tess. The song was played at the May 9 Relay for Life event in Phoenix. Four days later Cece passed away. I'm sad, and also very grateful we were able to create this song.

We are Special Blend, Bob and Sue Lopez. Sue is the singer-songwriter and Bob is the multi-instrumentalist and producer. We just do our thing. We have stuff to say, then pick a music style that fits the words, add some ear candy and hopefully it stirs the soul. It's about art and emotion. No tattoos, no facial piercings. Elton John would be pleased.

We've done a gazillion gigs over the years...churches, fairs, coffee houses, house concerts, the Bluebird in Nashville and even Dodger Stadium. Our influences include jazz, Latin classics, pop/rock, country, and the greats from all the decades we've lived through, which is going on five now. We're not the new kids on the block. We are old souls but young at heart. We're madly in love with music and with each other.
