    Spiral Consort is an ensemble of musicians who use an unusual instrument- the conch shell. This work of nature is the original trumpet, used since 10,000 B.C. The choir uses these instruments through the filter of all kinds of music- drum and bass, Brazilian rhythms, gospel, Indian raga, renaissance. But the discovery of the amazing physical sound of the conch shells (especially played together) has led this group to a simple, open, form of minimalism. It is an expression of the fascination and joy of making long, skull vibrating sounds. ..
