SPECTALICIOUS' debut album 'COOK YOUR WOOFERS' is nothing
like anything you've heard in the past twenty years. Its roots lie in
an old-fashioned Disco-Groove, although thanks to clever composing and
arranging, it brings a new flavour which is timeless, extremely enjoyable,
and very accessible to everyone.
The band was brought together in 2004 by drummer, composer
& producer Michiel Van Zundert. His goal was to produce and write
an album with original, high quality songs with influences of soul, disco
and funk. So he gathered some friends who all happen to be great musicians
and they all successfully collaborated on this debut album.
None of the sounds on the album are "plastic",
every instrument you hear is real, played by a skilled musician who has
invested years of blood, sweat, and tears in mastering that specific instrument.
From bass and drums to violins and a didgeridoo... they're all authentic
and recorded with masses of love, passion, faith, and extreme fun.
That is what SPECTALICIOUS is: love, passion, faith, and extreme
fun.
