"If they tighten their shit up a little they could be legitimately modest failures, perhaps even on a regional or national level... I shouldn’t razz these dudes too hard, because I appreciate their sincere attempt to create Real Music, and sometimes it even succeeds." -David Thorpe, somethingawful.com / slushpilemag.com

Boston-based Spectator formed in 2006, and is comprised of Scott House (vocals), Jason Calieri (guitar), John Salogiannis (bass), and Joey Korenman (drums).
Spectator strive to creatively explore the alt-rock genre with a focus on tight songwriting, soaring melodies, and captivating tunes, and they transmit a unique sound that has been likened to Radiohead, Muse, U2, and Jeff Buckley.
In winter 2007, they headed to Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY to record Your Scars with Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed and Cambria, King Crimson, Bad Brains). The EP was released in spring 2008.
The band is currently playing shows in the Northeast, writing new material, and preparing to enter a studio in winter 2009-10 to record their newest songs.
