About me:
Need a place to show your art? See what Spectrum has to offer!
Spectrum: Friends of Fine Art, opened its doors in June of 1976 in a gallery that was once a residence on the grounds of Crosby Gardens (Toledo Botanical Gardens). The club itself was organized in 1975, and at the time of the gallery opening, had a membership of 333. Many of the founding members are still active.
Spectrum remains dedicated to nurtuing creativity and encouraging innovative ventures in all aspects of art. Its members exhibit in the 10 annual shows, they learn new techniques or share techniques in art with the general public and enjoy a variety of art media in many venues, e.g. The Annual Salon des Refusés.
The public is encouraged to participate in all that we do and is always welcome.
Exhibitions
Each month, there is something of new interest going on in the Gallery. Typically, we showcase approximately one hundred works of art in the Gallery at any given time. Our juried shows run for a month and usually are based around a theme like nature, figure and portrait or abstract.
Each June and December, the Gallery is transformed into a charming arts boutique! We participate with the other Resident Organizaions and shops located within the Toledo Botanical Gardens in: Art in the Gardens, the TBG Crosby Festival of the Arts and Heralding the Holidays.

Finding us is easy!
The Spectrum Gallery can be found in the heart of the Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43615. Elmer Drive is between Holland-Sylvania and Reynolds Roads, a quarter mile south of Central Avenue. From 23, take the Central Avenue Exit. Turn east (right) off the exit ramp and turn south (right again) on Holland-Sylvania Road. Turn left onto Elmer Drive. Toledo Botanical Garden will be on your right. Spectrum is in "The Village" area across from the Administrations Office.
