InfluencesOur sound is inspired and influenced by MUSIC and the endless possibilites it offers us all. Color, texture, shape, form..... That is our main influence and what guides us as we compose and arrange. For the sake of getting a handle on what we have enjoyed in the past though here's the proverbial list.... Yes, King Crimson, Rush, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Genesis, Steely Dan, ELP, Gentle Giant, Return To Forever, Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Bruford, UK, Dream Theater, Peter Gabriel, Magma, Brand X, John McLaughlin, Steve Morse, Dixie Dregs, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Primus, Adrian Belew, Vic Wooten / Flecktones, Jeff Beck, Al Dimeola, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Styx, Phish, Camel, Jimi Hendrix, XTC, Led Zeppelin, The Who, ELO, Niacin, Liquid Tension Experiment, Medeski Martin Wood and much more!
Sounds LikeWe are often told we sound like we threw all of the above into a pot and made musical stew. We do have an art rock angle like most of those groups/artists for sure, but at the end of the day we are our own entity with a sound that is probably best described simply as Speechless.

   About SPEECHLESS
We are an Atlanta based instrumental quartet who draw upon a variety of inspirations and influences. Our music is a hybrid of many different styles. It is groove oriented and varied within that. Some pieces are like small epics which are cinematic in scope. Imagine a soundtrack to a film yet to be made.... Others are shorter and offer up a concise punch. We could go on trying to put into words what we sound like, but better yet, read the comments left here on our page by listeners and fans. They articulate our sound better than we can. Prog Rock? Jam Band? Groove Oriented Rock? Your mileage may vary... Hear it for yourself now!

OUR DEBUT CD "TIME OUT OF MIND" IS NOW AVAILABLE!! You can find it at these fine online vendors- ITunes, Wayside Music, Laser’s Edge, Kinesis and CD Baby. Also, if you are in the Atlanta area you can purchase the cd in person at Decatur CD in scenic Decatur, GA!

you guys were AWESOME last night at sweetwater live - the new material is right on, and gray and I were shouting "19, 20, 21, 22, 23..." during the 39 Lashes. I forget how many there were.

Brilliant, and looking forward to more.

Gentlemen! WAY TO ROCK at Sweetwater last night!! That was a great show, lack of a drum solo not-with-stan-ding. I particularly enjoyed Crazy Eights-Fives-Sevens-pick-a-time-sig. : ) It reminds me of Chicago, a little.
