Influences
All music has someone doing something wonderful and so many imitations wishing they could do the same. As much as I admire the wonderful... I strive to not be the same!
Sounds Like
Do we have to sound like someone else?
When I first began I heard comparisons, but as my time and experience changed so did the comparisons.
One day not long ago suddenly people stopped comparing me to anyone else.
I'm damn happy to have my own voice be it good or bad!
STABILITY results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.
ORDERLINESS results were medium which suggests you are moderately organized, hard working, and reliable while still remaining flexible, efficient, and fun.
EXTRAVERSION results were very high which suggests you are overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense too often of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.
TRAIT SNAPSHOT:
social, outgoing, worry free, optimistic, upbeat, tough, likes large parties, makes friends easily, rarely irritated, open, enjoys leadership, trusting, dominant, thrill seeker, strong, does not like to be alone, assertive, mind over heart, confident, controlling, feels desirable, likes the spotlight, loves food, social chameleon, hard working, concerned about others
I'm FIVE years Old. 5 years ago I found myself at the Kerrville Folk Festival sitting by the stench of the bathrooms in 103 degrees. I opened the doors of my van, placed my armless chair out in the sun, put my dozen red valentine care bear dolls near to the street and bathrooms & began to play and sing. I sang night and day and night and day and on or around the 3rd or 4th day some people began to notice.
Then I left for the desert and vowed I’d never live like I had. For the first time in my life I camped the summer months where no one could find me in Utah. In the desert I walked 7 to 10 hours a day and the rest of the time I sang and played my guitar. When I left the desert I was reborn with a new body and playing technique unlike anyone. I had a new sound no one had heard or had a way to compare me to.
I arrived in Portland as planned on my birthday (August 27) at 3 a.m. on the remaining fumes still left in my gas tank with no money to refill it’s tank. My childhood friend met me and allowed me to live with him. For 2 years I learned what my value was as a musician until I could play on the road. I swore I’d never have a daytime job again and I have kept that promise now for 3 years. I spend 2/3rd of my time in Oregon/Washington and 1/3rd in Texas on the most part.
I am one of these rare individuals who own almost nothing. What I wear, the car I drive, the trailer I use on the road almost all of it is gifted to me. I have places (homes, ranches, farms, etc) from one side of the country to the other where folks understand my love, laughter and passion. I have learned how to gain the best friends and enjoy being with the top 1% of humanity without asking for a thing.
I am making HISTORY, but I am not a history lesson.

Thanks - I play writer's nights in Nashville mostly. I don't have much time with my writing to focus on a band. I had a band from 16 yrs old up until about 3-4 years ago - every weekend somewhere, tx. Not much time for anything else when that goes on. Thanks for being a friend! Terry
Cool! Thanks so much! I really like your songs too, nice work! I am working on my CD right now and will be looking for more gigs soon, probably in the Spring and I'll keep you posted! TessTurbo
HONEY! Your music is beautifully mixed, this is GOOD STUFF! It always was, now its SUPERB....thank you for the beautiful messages, will reply in a message here... Already have 19 dates for 2009, that's my MARVIN ! I LOVE the GIG slide thing. No one else is doing that, that I have seen. How did you think that one up??? That brilliant mind, I know....
As for the 56% Narcissist, that was the only portion of the chart I disagree with. You are only self-absorbed as an artist is inclined and must be...huge difference.!
I'm off to listen more and write you a message. THANK YOU so much for leaving that sweet message on my machine on Thanksgiving. I really needed that, you will never know. I am just so sorry to miss your call...
Love you so much, C'MON DOWN and see me! Lyric xxxxxx ((((HUGS)))
