Chicago born and raised, Justin "Speedy Calhoun" Wright is an emcee with several things to offer. Being a lover of music before an emcee, he takes a different approach to his music. Always considering what's best for the song over what's best for his success. "I always tell people that i do this for the love. If something happens, like a deal coming along, then fine. But as for now, I'm not looking for all that..."
Speedy's first project, now entitled "Volumes" has yet to be released to his peers. "Besides the fact that I'm always busy doing other stuff," he says, "...I'm constantly reinventing what I want to pursue with this album..."
So when the album finally does make it to the hands of those who are anticipating it, it will be something to marvel...or so he hopes.
How you gon' use a "Home Alone" sample on "Half Fiction?" That joint is crazy. CRAZY. Ten times better than "Top Cat," jo. And "Top Cat" was nice to begin with. Dopeness.
