   About Spencer McGarry Season
It all started when I was born, which in many ways was the beginning of the end. I began playing drums at school and getting involved in Amateur dramatics before deciding it wasn't for me I did however learn the guitar during a production of the Sound of Music, and my future was sealed. I decided to write two or three minute melodic narratives shrewdly combining chords with lyrics in the same key, making sure to repeat certain sections again and again so that people would remember them and perhaps sing along, next I had a wave of the brain and combined these songs with other instruments like electric bass and drums, making sure that all the instruments are in time with each other. I had stumbled on a silvermine of possibilities!! Leaving the house one day I realised that I was not the first one to have done this. In short I was shocked and it has taken me about 10 years to be comfortable with this and come to the conclusion that even though I didn't think of it first, I could still do it too. Thus Spencer McGarry- the Life the Music... the Legend It goes like this I'm doing 6 albums each with a diferent theme The first one will be called Episode 1 and will be a rock record in the style of my favourite Rock records, more than that I cannot tell you

Thank you for sending me your music in 2008.

You featured in my selection of the best Welsh music of the year [broadcast on BBC Radio Wales last night, Sunday December 28th].

You can hear the show here:

http://www. bbc. co. uk/iplayer/episode/b00g4w1p/Adam_Walton_28_12_2008/

I'd love to hear what you think about the show & the other 48 songs / artists featured in it.

Please keep your music coming.

We start a new feature on the show next Sunday night [4th January] -- the F.A.Q. where we get authoritative industry people to answer *your* questions about any aspect of music making / recording / mastering / distribution etc. etc.

For example, next week, a representative from the Glastonbury Festival will be telling you how *you* can play there in 2009.

Other questions we will be answering over the weeks will include:

What is publishing?

What is PRS / MCPS?

How do I get my music onto iTunes?

How can I make a home recording sound 'professional'?

What are the do's and don'ts of sending a demo to a record label?

IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION PLEASE E-MAIL IT TO ME!

themysterytour@gmail.com

They will be asked anonymously, if you prefer.

Happy New Year / Blwyddyn Newydd Dda
