"The wide variety of styles I am able to cover makes my shows special. My simple 'three chords and the truth' style makes my own songs special."
Others have said it's like a Violent Femmes/Dryvin' N Cryin' tour bus crash of percussive acoustic guitar playing. All around, Spence Wilder puts on a consistently entertaining show: from Radiohead to Motorhead, a little something for everyone.
Dave's claim to "fame" in the Atlanta indie rock scene is having been guitar player number 806 in Andy Browne's post-heyday Nightporters (between Sid and Clint, if you're still reading and you aren't Becky or Jeff Clark).
Dave started performing professionally in a touring cover band called The Exam. The Exam toured the East Coast playing small clubs and enormous out of control trash the place like Animal House frat parties (back when that was still cool).
These days you can catch Lonesome Dave in his new band, Tone Star. He also plays solo acoustic shows around Atlanta.
