I was introduced to music as an alto sax player in junior high and high school, but then events in my life lead me away from my creative side. In the past five or six years I have sort of rediscovered music as a vehicle to express my thoughts and ideas. I had dabbled in guitar and bass years ago, but found my voice when I once again picked up the saxophone in 2004. Despite being relatively new on the scene; I have had the good fortune to learn from and play with many amazing and talented musicians including: Norm Bergeron, Andrew Rathbun, Tim O'Dell, Brad Terry, Chuck Winfield, Don Stratton, Ben Bowman, Chas Lester, Barbara Cook, Duane Edwards, Eric Rohrbach and Tom Del Rossi to name a few. My goal is to take all of the experiences and influences that have shaped my life, and pour them into my music to develop my own sound. One that I would describe as rough, unpolished and raw, yet thoughtful and exuberant. Recently I have started studying the bongo and congas. In the short time I have been playing drums, I have found a new dimension in my horn playing. A new sense of time, or perhaps a lack thereof...I'm not quite sure yet. ______________________________________________________________________
