"(Art)... rescues us from our self chosen triviality, to which we are so prone. It is like a deep organ note that makes my hair stir and a shiver run through me. I 'pull back' from life, like a camera taking a long shot with a wide angle lens. I quite simply become aware of more reality than before." -Colin Wilson (The Occult)
ART by Martha Graham
"There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. If you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost.
The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable it is, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly to keep the channel open.
You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you.
Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive then the others."

Yeah I was gonna do that benefit with him but forgot I had a wedding reception to play that night. I do my fair share of benefit gigs every year. I stay booked fairly regular so I feel that that's the blessing u get from them..
Happy belated B-Day. Hope Heather is doing better. She can get one of those Hello Kitty gtrs at AMS, Musicians friend etc.. Real cheap I got the guitar for Julie but after a year she gave it back. It actually has a great neck and decent sound with that humbucker. Have you heard the new Vox Satchurator pedal? Its frigging nice. When my knee gets better we have to jam.
Haha that was a really impromptu pic from the hotel before we left to play that night. That drummer(the guy in the hat) is incredible btw!!...he doesn't play with us often though.
Hooters.................. beer $3.50 a glass, hot wings $6.00 for 6, the Hooters birthday chair dance for BERT THE BASSIST ........................PRICELESS !!!!!!
When I started back playing steady I had that cramp prob...then it got better. It only happened Sat when I played that Foundation with that neck that is smaller than my T-20. He's gonna bring it back for me to play it again...but I think I'll stick with my trusty blond!!!hehe
It's a Peavey Foundation. He wanted to see if I liked the way it played. His has a smaller neck than mine. I think that is why I got a cramp when I played a lot of walking bass.
