Now in its fourteenth year, Speyfest 2009 will once again bring the best in traditional and contemporary celtic music to the banks of the river Spey in the heart of Moray.
The six day long festival will be a blend of concerts, ceilidh and "stomp" featuring some of the biggest names from the world of Scottish music. As well as home-grown talent there will also be a strong overseas feel to the line-up with bands from Canada, Australia and Ireland adding to the international flavour of what is essentially still a village-run event.
This year's festival will include a Homecoming Ceilidh on Friday 31st July and Craft Fair on Saturday 1st August along with the free to enter Festival Clubs on the Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Full details of the line-up, events and ticket prices will be announced on the festival's website at www.speyfest.com just as soon as they are available.
Hey there, Planning on coming over for the fest, and just wondering if there's any accomodation, like a campsite for festival goers, as the burnside camp site is fully booked... Is there any where else? Thanks! Eileen
