He is a singer-songwriter with a story to tell.
His taste for music was first discovered at school, it began in the percussion section where for the next 6 years he would learn the art of drumming.
He discovered he had an ear for music and soon took up the guitar, and at 17, became the lead singer & guitarist in a local band.
He began writing jingles, soundtracks, children’s music and Christian chorus. This led to a brief publishing contract with the Anglican Youth Department.
This also led to a contract with “BUSHRANGER 4WD PARTS”. Steve wrote and recorded a jingle for them, which has now become part of the company and continues to be used in their National T.V advertising campaigns.
Vince Williamson Managing director has said, “…Steve’s jingle & our company image have now become inseparable”.
Steve had been involved in a youth camp called Teen Ranch. He was approached by Teen Ranch to record their beloved songs for future generations.
Steve took on the project, recording the “TEEN RANCH GREATEST HITS” his first role as producer. The album was released in 2001.
Steve is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, keyboards, banjo, bass and drums. Steve worked as a horse wrangler, his extensive traveling overseas & throughout Australia giving him a wealth of material.
With these things in mind Steve wrote and recorded his Debut album “BLUE SKY”.
This was a real learning curve as Steve produced & engineered his album at his own studio ‘Alpha & Omega digital recording studio’.
“BLUE SKY” is a fresh sound, punchy & passionate, with a real country edge, the perfect mix for COOL COUNTRY FM having picked up the single, Highway, pre-released in late 2004. Then Stations around Australia followed picking up the next two singles BLUE SKY & MANGEY DOGS. The album features Steve’s originals and a couple of real heart-wrenching ballads. One of the standout songs is the grass ain’t never greener” winning 4th Place in the 2005 TAS & NZ “ Songwriter Awards.
Then in early 2006 Steve was named as a finalist in the APRA PROFFESSIONAL DEVOLOPMENT AWARDS for songwriting.
2005 has been a great year for Steve, with the release of Blue Sky which has had national
radio airplay as well as several festivals all around Australia.
Steve has become a sort after, live performer who has recently supported some major acts including Rick Price.
Steve also recently appeared on CHANNEL 10 with TIM BAILEY.
His live festivals include: The Galstone Country Music Festival 2005 & 2006 where he played to over 5000 people, the Ingleburn Alive Festival 2005 & 2006 to similar crowd numbers, and the Tooleybuc Country Music Festival.
Also in 2006 Steve performed at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in the main arena as well as having his own 1 hour show.
In July 2006 Steve’s very first single HIGHWAY received National television exposure when Channel 9’s GETAWAY program featured the song in a Ben Dark story about a
Victorian Country Truck and Music festival.
Steve has recently completed his 2nd album THE RIVER. Tracks from which have already been getting pre release air play on commercial radio station C91.3.
The album is due for release early 2007. Steve has been co – writing with others and his songs will be popping up with upcoming artists early 2007.
His versatility is shown with him working as MD & guitarist for the international NEIL DIAMOND impersonator J.J. JONES. He has also produced a string of local acts including ASHLI LOVE, LAUREN AZAR, WENDY FORD, AMBER ROBINSON, COLIN CLARKE, SIMONE QUINN & UNLEADED just to name a few.

Hi Steve Glad to meet you and thanks for the kind words. I did write the songs, yes. Nice sounds you're doing out of Australia. Hope yu're enjoying the weather!
Are you moving up north? (I was reading some comments on your page.) Make sure you stop at that little general store we went to on the way to our holiday (Forester-Tuncurry?) and have a very tasty meat pie and a coldie for me! (And don't tell my mom and dad about the beer. I'm 34 and married and all, but I'll still get in trouble!)
Hello my far-away friend! Today I would LOVE to be back in Oz with you - it's chilly here today and I really do miss you! We're all doing well here, other than a nasty little virus that's been going around. Hey, check out "Joe" on my myspace friends... my soon to be single again brother used a photo from his trip with you to Cancun as his profile pic. Is that false advertising or what!??
YO Scratch Buddy! Do u want some rain down that way? Got PLENTY of it up here. MIght have a word to the man upstairs and see if he can send some your way. You wouldn't have a contact number for a bloke named Noah by any chance? Heard on the grapvine he's good at building rather large boats!
MY GOD!!! I have listened to every track except 'Halfway to Nowhere' MY GOD!! That song is unbelieveable! I LOVE IT!! Sorry about the ranting, but that is a GREAT song!! Shari
