About me: If you know me, you probably aren't surprised by anything I do by now. Some call me touched, some say special, but I am really just a punk that never grew up...
I am an eclectic personality, knowledgable in many subjects, mastery of none, or so I am told. I am an artist, musician, published author and security expert. The last one pays my bills, the others keep me as close to sane as I will ever achieve.
I have worked in 81 countries around the world, travelled to 93 so far. I served my time in the Army, where I was falsely accused of too much partying, and even turning my entire barracks into alcoholics. In my defense, I never threw a single party, but I also never missed anyone elses! The Army is where I became known as Veggie, one of the three Veggies in our group, due to our inactivity between parties.
During that time I was also in my first band, a pseudo-punk/metal/alternative group of limited talent friends. We were known as My Dog Bob and Up Uranus, with heavy influence by The Cure, Butthole Surfers, The Meatmen, TSOL and Metallica. What a combo!!!
I am also an author, with my second book "CCTV For Security Professionals" doing well over the last 4 years. I am currently working on another technical book and a novel that I would love to see published. I have had some poetry published, with one helping me to receive a Poet of Merit award in 2003.
Stomp The Violets is the name of my currently imaginary band, one I would much like to see grow into reality. Of course finding similar minded no-talent hacks like myself in backwoods Virginia may be a bit of a hindrance to that. I have many written lyrics and past songs, plus a few VERY obscure covers I would like to do. I love obscure covers and doing them in a different style. Remember the Eurythmics "No More I Love You's"? Well look for the original by "The Lover Speaks", it is awesome. Yeah, doesn't fit with the punk stuff, but that must be another personality.
