I am a happily married female with two children who are now grown adults. I love dogs, especially basset hounds. It has been a long family tradition to name all our dogs after spices and all our cats after cheese. This is really their space, and being the great animals that they are, they let me share it with them.
I am a total LOSTaholic and just admire Michael Emerson. I think LOST became amazingly fantastic after he joined the cast. So this page will be eventually filled with dog pictures and my LOST art.
I love to read. My favorite authors are Garrison Keillor and Anne Tyler. But that doesn't mean that I don't read other authors. It just means that my children certainly know that come Christmas time if a book by my any of my two favorite authors is published, then they will make me awfully happy by giving me that new edition as a Christmas gift.
I recently became a grandma, and I just adore the new little girl in our family.
I edit and write for a journal of economics, as well as other publications in economics. I don't know how I wound up in this profession. I really wanted to be an audiologist and do research. Life is a fickle bitch and it threw me a curved ball by making me talented enough to edit this difficult subject. I also started displaying the ability to be a talented graphic artist. My boss is nice enough to let me explore that talent as well. Hence, oddly enough, I love my job.

I was lucky enough to meet GK twice. I have only one photo to prove it and even that is not the greatest. The person who was supposed to take the photograph in which GK posed with me and my hubby, failed to do so. She took the picture of another person. But, fortunately, she did take this picture of my hubby's bald head and of me talking to GK about Norway (my middle name is Sølveig):
