SPICHKI is a Lithuanian alternative rock legend.
Name of the band means „matches“ in Russian, and the band has always justified their name. The energy delivered from the stage during their live concerts strikes every match in the audience.
In 1992, Slava (drums), Ivan (accordion, vocals) and Andrej (bass guitar) got together as a band and SPICHKI story started. In May, 1993 SPICHKI put an impressive performance at the cult Lithuanian “Worst Bands‘ Festival”. This was the springboard which swung them to the hearts of the audience where they stayed ever since for 17 years until this day.
The band has always been on the run, changing approaches and mixing alternative rock styles with folky accordion tunes, which has always been a distinct feature of SPICHKI.

“Tri Belih Konia” (Three White Horses) album emphasizes melodiousness and power. "Zhivoj" (Alive) album is a straight speedy punk/hardcore album. The "PRO! Kosmos" album was an experiment with jazzy acoustic sounds recorded with guest saxophone player. The latest album of the band "Poslednij" (Last One) is a unique music cocktail: heavy artillery of two drum sets, powerful guitar sound, elegant accordion tunes, a bit of psychedelic and a lot more.
The true power of SPICHKI has always been playing live. SPICHKI live shows are wild "Gogol Bordello" style performances with 2 singers in front of stage and mighty sounding instrumental band.
SPICHKI played lots of gigs and participated in numerous festivals in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Czech republic and Russia.
