   About SPIKE IVORY
My songs are a collage of the different roads I've traveled and the lessons that I have (hopefully) learned. My songs are a return to basic rock and roll." says Spike Ivory after completing his self-produced debut CD, Touch of Madness, which was self-released in 2003.

Spike Ivory crafted his unique sound and style by drawing on influences such as John Waite, Danny Wilde, Tommy Tutone and John Hiatt just to name a few. Spike Ivory played many of the instruments heard on his debut album and put a very personal stamp on each song.

The resulting sound and amazing energy were felt through the live shows as Spike Ivory and his newly formed band began touring. Highlights from the 9 track CD include the thumping blues track “Don’t Talk To Me”, the melodic “Touch of Madness”, and the upbeat summer rock tune “Julie”.

Inspired by the response from fans around the world, Spike Ivory set out to use his new bands performance experience and greater musical vision to create a follow up to his (largely solo) first album. Spike and some friends booked into a studio and the result was the 12 song CD, Velvet Chains – released in 2005. Neil Huber and Paul Sukovich aided in the production which resulted in a great solid album.

In particular, “Just Being Me” and the highly original “My Maria” were highlight singles that defined exactly what Spike Ivory is about.

The anthem “Rollin' Thunder” (dedicated to U.S. servicemen and women) features a special line-up and showcases the best of Spike Ivory’s vocal performance and incredible guitar sound.

The album gained instant acclaim with many great reviews and generous radio play worldwide. The new album also scored the following recognition:

· Velvet Chains named in Top 100 Albums for 2005. (Upstage Magazine)

· Velvet Chains named in Top 50 CD’s for 2005 (Kweekak.com)

· Single "My Maria" reached 16 in WCH Radio Top 30 for 2005 and 2006.

The Velvet Chains Tour included many intimate sized venues and more than 225 shows all over the USA, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, and Canada lasting a grueling 2 1/2 years. Many shows were acoustic and brought a fresh interpretation to the songs. Spike started writing new songs while on the road and putting together some demos for a new album.

Spike also found time to perform his first Asia gig to entertain local fans at a popular city bar known for spontaneous improv sessions. After wrapping up a seven song showcase, local musicians joined Spike in a very long 14 hour improvisational jam session.

The new album will be out in 2009 titled "Outside Looking In", and will feature a fresh new crop of songs that will take Spike's creativeness to a new level.

Stay tuned...Songs will be previewed soon...

Where do you guys play? Unfortunately we will

Going to a home

Well good luck on your venues. I know you guys will do well.
