NOT YOUR AVERAGE SUPERHEROES (N.Y.A.S.) is the merger of many worlds: Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Classical. A spur of the moment musical collaboration brought Matt (Keys and Vocals), Emmackulate (Emcee), Conscious (Emcee), Voke (Beatbox), Steph (Flute), Nick (Drums), and George (Bass) together. This joint venture evolved into the family we call N.Y.A.S. After only one year together, we have released our debut EP with the intent to bring Hip Hop back to its roots, while using our passion for many genres of music to invent our own unique style. We say what we feel, we are who we are. True, creative music, expression at its purest.
