    The Amsterdam based Spinifex Orchestra displays a wide variety of styles and sounds, never loosing its unique rough and adventurous character. Intense collective improvisation, tight heavy metal, enchanting solos, crazy rhythms, rock and R&B, extreme dynamics, worldly sounds, extended instrumental techniques, intricate arrangements and compositions, are all part of their rich music. Spinifex Orchestra's debut cd Triodia was released in 2008 on Karnatic Lab Records!.. .. In 2009 the Orchestra's follow-up the Spinifex Tuba Band was founded. In 2010 they toured the Netherlands in a collaboration project with Umlaut Double Trio featuring guitarist Marc Ducret. A whole new repertoire specifically composed for these concerts was presented.
