This is my space,nobody talks in the third person round here unless your a complete ass. This is Spinz, live and direct, writing this little note about myself so you can feel where im coming from. Born in Oxnard,California right along the surf and nice beeeeaches, went to school at Ventura High and found my love for music a little bit before that. It was around 89 when I figured out that music is all I want to do for the rest of my life.
I learned early about hip hop because of the other artists that were also raised in the area where I grew up. I was also inspired early by groups like the Whooliganz and House of Pain,Cypress Hill and King T and Tha Alkoholiks and Dr. Dre. I grew up listening to Friday Night Flavas with the Baka Boys and hearing guests like Wu Tang Clan,Redman,EPMD,Xzibit,Tha Liks,Organized Konfusion,Souls of Mischief,Outkast and others. I was still maaaad young but really had a deep passion and drive to become an MC and be invloved in hip hop music and culture.
Now adays I rap on everything a producer sends me. I have too many compilations to name, 3 solo albums under my belt and one more on the way on September 9th, 2009. I have performed concerts and festivals around the world in places like France and Germany to places like Bosnia and Hercegovina, Holland and even Romania. I have a record for attendance in the country of Slovenia performing in front of more than 30,000 people with DJ Umek for a concert to raise money for victims of violent crimes, Dj Umek is a Slovenian native from Ljubljana and the producer of "Ready Steady feat. I'm happy to announce that The ATTIC is going trough some major changes to address the big wave of performers and listeners alike. We kicked the limit of 1000 friends of which cca 500 are performers of some kind. The Attic also has 20-50 visitors a day, from around the world, and is being visited constantly by the people who look for new songs, performers and ideas here on Balkan. We have a strong backup from everybody, performers and fans alike, to keep the Attic kickin' and what would I be if I don't listen to them.
New banner, performers and listeners are just the beginning of change here on Hip Hop Attic. Soon enough I will browse trough every performer here and put the best songs and videos on the Attic for all to hear and see. After that I'll put the time and effort to put together foreign list for all that are not Balkan based performers. There will be some surprise stuff for Christmas and New year but for that you'll have to wait till then.
I'll do my best to have you all drop on you butts when you see what I have in store for you. If you have any questions, ask me in form of a message, cause I don't want to have all in my comment section on the Attic. Read the blog if you want to know what we do and why, and please, don't put humongous adds in Attic's comments cause they will be deleted!
