  • Bio

..Spiral began their journey into the music scene in February of 2004 from the dreams and hopes of their singer and guitarist, Amanda. The alternative rock band, originally with 3 members, played battle of the bands, and always seemed to manage a 2nd place finish. With the addition of their guitarist, Anthony, in July they gained confidence and began to play out at parties. It wasn’t until friends from another band invited them to play at the Liquid Room (RIP) that they actually thought they had something. Once Spiral realized that they had a unique sound, they began writing new material. .. ..A few more shows ensued and some of the members had different ideas on what they wanted. In August of 2004 Spiral’s bass player left the band for personal reasons. They were soon joined with a close friend, Julian, on bass. Julian brought a new energy to the band and made them want to work fiercely. Shortly after Julian joined, their drummer left because of artistic differences. Spiral spent 6 months practicing and writing without a full time drummer, but was determined to have a comeback show on February 5th of 2005. .. ..With the show date arriving faster and faster, Spiral was in a pinch to train a full time drummer. Just as they were about to cancel the gig a friend of Amanda’s stepped forward and offered his assistance. Will joined the band as full time drummer 4 days before the scheduled show and learned all of the material in 4 hours. The show went off without a hitch to many peoples surprise. .. ..Within the past 7 months Spiral has played a few shows in Grand Rapids, Holland and some in Coopersville. They are currently working in the studio to record their debut album which should be out early 2006. Spiral has had a lot of complications and misfortunes but continues to push forward with their dream in mind. They live by the standard now and always; .. ..“No matter what they all say, we will not fail.” .. ..Spiral © 2005..
