About me:

Spiral Architects formed in September 2007 when Paul Egerton and Ross Knowles decided it would be much better to record an album of Psychedelic Music that was Danceable with changes in mood from Dark Progressive Rock/Fusion like King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Radiohead, mix it with a bit of Drum and Bass, Gong, and War of the Worlds and then lighten it with uplifting moods and euthoric build-ups...much better to record an album than just sit on their butts getting high and living out the rest of their lives in obscurity and day-to-day dullness. So far the album is in the sketches phase as we go through our back catalogues of original music we've written over the years and polish, hack and chop the 60 or so tracks we have chosen as half decent and worthy of developing into something new hehe. This idea of producing an album has taken a backseat to performing live and networking as we gather a line up for this project. Spiral have been playing live every week since Halloween Night(31/10/07) at the most excellent Open Mic Nights @ the Fawcett Inn in Southsea, England (best psychedelic venue on the south coast)and a line up of sorts is solidifying. Since then the duo has now become as 4 piece as Paul and Ross are joined by Keith 'Lolly' Sands on Theremin, and by Mitz, a talented Tenor Saxophonist. Also playing with Spiral live so far every week has been John Legg on Guitar and Dan Kennard on Vocals, and also Nick 'the piercer' on Soprano Saxophone. ..
