   About Spiralchords Music
The label Spiralchords was born out of an idea to suit the action to the world and set a countersign to the current stagnating, mediocre state of darker rock and metal music. Spiralchords is an international (digital) platform for talented and original artists found within the dark rock/metal genre. A reservoir for music that isn’t stuck in standard templates but offers freshness, diversity, and intriguing consistency.
Spiralchords benefits from a long history of:
  • Business experience
  • Label management
  • Distribution
  • Marketing
  • Promotion
  • The know-how of its passionate and professionally working founders
Spiralchords is looking for bands who are willing to cooperate and interact on a creative and respectful basis. Cooperation and communication is the key and we’re offering our experience to assist the band so that its art can reach the best possible level for commercial usage.
From the fine-tuning of the music to promotional possibilities and finally on to the (digital) distribution. We’re coaching the band and doing label work in all facettes. We’re interested in bands who’re dedicated like us and want to support us as much as we want to support them and their music. Our label goal is to find and establish bands with creative abilities and integrity, and to utilize our many years of experience.
    About the Founders:
Breda has been working as a promotion/product manager and A&R for established rock/metal labels like Roadrunner Records and Century Media Records. Additionally, she’s worked as DJ and for several music magazines such as Vertigo, New Life, MusicWerks, Rock Hard, Sonic Seducer, Zillo, Virus! Magazine and more.
Christian (TheCount [0]) is successfully running the established international alternative music label and distribution company COP International since 1991.

WE GOT THIS FAR - "Blunt Force Volume"
With "Blunt Force Volume", California's industrial rock band We Got This Far offers a thrilling menu of knife-sharp riffs, crunchy synths and juicy drum kicks, at times heavy hitting and merciless, at times melancholic and thoughtful, accompanied by Oliver Marsh's distinctive vocals. Recorded and produced by the band and mastered by Tom Baker (Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, Orgy, Static X), "Blunt Force Volume" contains nine tracks plus a remix by Gary Zon (Dismantled).
CD release date Europe: August 21st 09 * CD release date USA: tba

CHECK IT OUT (CD & digital):

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
    MDM - "Modern Digital Militia"
With “Modern Digital Militia”, Canada's MDM serve an aggressive yet melodic guitar driven industrial rock album with political anti-war anthems such as “Das Ist Krieg (American Reich)” and “Demander & Thief” as well as the introspective and emotional titles "Collapse” and "Silence & Pressure”. The album hits hard and heavy from the get-go and maintains its high-energy throughout. "Modern Digital Militia" blends mega-hard verse lines with huge melodic choruses and catchy hooks. An exceptionally thrilling ear attack for industrial rock lovers!
CD release date Europe: April 18th 08 * CD release date USA: July 8th 08

    Press Quotes:

"MDM did everything right on "Modern Digital Militia" and transformed noisy, magnificently dirty guitar riffs, razor sharp synth sounds, a huge dose of grooviness and juicy melodies into compact, sparkling songs. Hot tip!"
    ZILLO Magazine (05/08)

„You can’t start an album in a cooler way! Electro metal versus sampletrash, "Das ist Krieg (American Reich)" is a statement that KMFDM or Ministry couldn’t have done better, on top this is a shamelessly great earwig. MDM offer everything that friends of the industrial rock genre await from a promising band."
    SONIC SEDUCER Magazine (05/08)

"With "Modern Digital Militia", Canada‘s MDM serve us a pulsating, dark and massive sound spectacle with meaningful content. Rumbling guitars, enthralling synths and Nux’s resolute and expressive vocals manage to fascinate right from the start."
    GOTHIC Magazine (05/08)

"When it comes to their approach, MDM remind me about old KMFDM. Great to see that this genre seems to undergo a little renaissance. „Modern Digital Militia“ is an enjoyable album, genre specialists are very welcome to have a listen."
    HEAVY Magazine (05/08)

"Modern Digital Militia" manages it outstandingly to combine the heavy and dirty way of Ministry with melodic catchiness and diversity. Novel, authentic, and equally danceable, rocking and atmospheric."
    WHISKEY-SODA.de

"The sound is characterized by up-beat tempo with a high bpm rate, pushing rhythms, catchy melodies, strong vocals and voice samples. A good fusion of guitars and industrial elements."
    REFLECTIONSOFDARKNESS.com

"Modern Digital Militia" is an essential opus for fans of KMFDM, Oomph!, Violent Work of Art and Dope Stars Inc., and encourages you to keep a closer eye on this band. One of the most surprisingly fresh releases of 2008 so far for me!
    INDUSTRIALIZEDMETAL.com

"MDM prove they are ready to be major players on the industrial scene."
    ALTERNATIVE Magazine UK (June/July 08)

"This is what Ministry could have sounded like if they had been inspired by a newer generation rather than just their own back catalog."
    REGENMAG.com

    ARTIFACT - "The Only Salvation"
With „The Only Salvation“, Norway’s Artifact offer us a multifaceted adventure that blends gothic, rock, metal and industrial elements in a remarkably strong way. Juicy riffs, crunchy synths and huge choruses amalgamate with varied atmospheres which pend between aggressive volcanos („Dead Eyes“, „New Messiah“) and emotional, thoughtful beauty („Scapegoated & Demonized“). A highly tasty gateau for all who're addicted to exciting guitar versus electronic switchbacks!
CD release date Europe: May 9th 08 * CD release date USA: July 8th 08

    Press Quotes:

"There’s amazingly many emotions in the songs that are offering a nearly perfect balance between electronic sounds and gothic rock/metal. A fantastic album, one only wants to close the eyes, forget the world around and dream."
    EMP Magazine (summer issue 2008)

„This band really has a lot to offer. They manage it to tastefully spice their synthetic song structures with crisp metal riffs and an attractive combination of emotional, clean vocals and sinister growls.."
    HEAVY Magazine (05/08)

„Artifact don’t stick to genre stereotypes, and this is what makes this band so strong. You see, it’s actually possible to make industrial metal without sounding staccato 24/7. These Scandinavians are absolutely a safe bet."
    SONIC SEDUCER (05/08)

"They blend elements from gothic, industrial, rock and metal, add a big scoop of individuality and put huge, catchy melodies on top. Artifact are one of the most talented newcomer bands I’ve heard in a long time. Must-have!"
ZILLO Magazine (05/08), Album of the Month

"If one gets involved with Artifact, one will experience an enjoyable surprise: the band sounds totally laid-back – and absolutely professional."
    METAL HAMMER (06/08)

"The rocking mix of gothic metal, electro, wave and remarkable, deep vocals which partly remind of Pete Steele sounds respectably well composed and varied. Within the musical intersection between Type 0 Negative, Paradise Lost, Rammstein, Sisters Of Mercy and Samael, Artifact managed to involve a good amount of hooklines and melodies."
    ROCK HARD (06/08)

"Artifact's 'The Only Salvation' is an essential release for your collection, which you can buy blindly without the risk of a dissapointment."
    INDUSTRIALIZEDMETAL.com

"Sometimes one unexpectedly make rather pleasant discoveries. The Norwegians Artifact certainly can be counted to them. It's a pleasure to listen to The Only Salvation."
HARD ROCK Magazine France (June 08)

"Impeccable songwriting, epic guitar work, brooding machines: a winning formula! An impressive debut."
    ALTERNATIVE Magazine UK (June/July 08)

"Combining down-tuned riffs and crunchy synths, the album's early stages are an intriguing blend of metallic muscle and dark industrial menace."
    KERRANG! Magazine UK (August 08)
