We were sat drinking one night coming up with silly song names just in case we had a band... when we decided that we should start a band! The next step was learning instruments. Cliff bought a bass and David dusted off his guitar. Moments later Spiral of Shame was born. Don't all bands start from drunken conversations? Adding Stephanie (because she could actually play the piano, just didn't have one) and Jerry, (because he could play Behind Blue Eyes) filled out this quartet. More instrument purchases later and an entire history had been invented. All that was needed was a CD and a tour!
Just as we were getting the hang of twelve-bar (writing three songs all with the same tune but different words) we got the chance to play at Albion's Festival of Forks. So our debut gig in September 2005 was by the gas station! Twelve months later and we'd moved 200yards down the road! By 2020 we will be playing Homer!
Now with a strong set list of originals, combined with a few rock classics they are on permanent tour of Albion, Michigan.
Stephanie's geographical relocation has taken her away for now, but the arrival of drummer Kent "Crew" Davis has filled out the SoS sound. Their ongoing world tour of Albion keeps on rolling....
