Spira Records began life as a college project in 2005. Our first release came in the form of a 3-track EP by Orko, a 4-piece Rock act from Glasgow, which sold out. In the future, we plan to expand in to Glasgow and other major Scottish cities and lend a helping hand to any crackin' bands who aren't getting the recognition they deserve.
We currently have a few new projects in development so stay tuned!

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience. Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 2009 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
