“Praying For This Day”

This day, Father,
may my eyes be opened
to see the beauty
in all that is ordinary – yet special -
around me.
May the glory of all that you have made
remind me of your presence
and lead me closer to you.

May my horizon this day, Lord,
not be so foreshortened that I notice little.
Instead, open my eyes
that I may see afar and above
as well as in front and beneath me.
Lead me to keep my life in perspective and balance
and discover that the thread of your presence
is interwoven through the events and people of this day.

Lead me this day, Lord,
not only to be of service to others
but to ensure
that I find quiet moments
for myself and for you.

In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

When we’re in need of guidance
Through times we
cannot see
Just where we are heading
Or where we ought to
be
When we need more faith
Through times that we
doubt
For those times when we question
What life is all
about
When we’re in need of comfort
Through times of so
much grief
Those times when our hearts ache
And we have so
many needs
When we need a friend
Through times when we’re
lonely
Those times when there’s no one
Just God and us
only
When we need more power
For those times we’re
attacked
The struggle with temptation
Is one of Satan’s
traps
When we have His blessings
Abundant in our
lives
When things are going well
And doors open
wide
Through all of these times
In life that we go
through
One thing is very certain
In what we all should
do
That we should never cease
From a lifetime of
prayer
For praying opens heaven’s doors
And causes us to
hear
What God wants to say to us
And the things He longs
to show
So we can walk in His perfect will
Wherever we shall
go

“God's Work”

God's presence is all around
His work seen everywhere,
In the many colored flowers
Perfumed with such care.

On the highest mountains,
The valleys and the glens,
His voice is loud and clear
Across the windswept fens.

Deep within the forest
Beneath the tallest trees,
He finds a place for bluebells,
To protect them from a breeze.

Beside a babbling brook
You can hear the song He sings,

God's work here on the land,

An Angel came to visit me today
Showing up in her usual way.

First a hush, then a flutter.

I had to catch my breath,
Not a word did I mutter.

She told me that you had been reaching out,
To find some meaning and remove the doubt.

That you felt you knew your path, but were a little uncertain,
As if a vail was in the way, like a wall or curtain.

It was at that time she showed to me,
An image so beautiful.
So bold.
So free.

It was of your Soul.
So warm.
So bright.
That is cast no shadow, into the darkest of night.

As you read this message please understand,
There is no vail, or wall, or curtain.
You have what you need, with that I am certain.
Just close your eyes an let your Love flow free,
