   About SPIRIT N JAZZ
With a twelve year co-operation in song-writing and music-production involving English and German musicians this new Jazz-project is growing and moving towards a position in which improvised music is expresing more than the musicians themselves could have ever imagined. This music project was born to highlight the bridges that exist between our different ways of living and believing. After talks about ethical, philosophical, and spiritual themes, over dinner the musicians usually sit down and start to jam. The musical pieces, which arise organically, are very strong in expression and enable the listener to picture the themes behind them. Music as a spiritual expression does not deliver definitions. Therefore, it is a versatile medium for understanding each other and our differing cultures. In todays political world this seems to be particularly necessary in the area of relations between Christians and Muslims. This area is addressed in the CD booklet. where there are, for each of the tracks, refrences to quotations from both the Bible and Koran, in order to make the thoughts of the musicians more transparent to the listener and to show the commonality in both religions. Music as the "Voice of Reason" (track 7) in a difficult and chaotic world? Jazz as a possibility for a dialogue on the platform of emotions. Musical communication instead of the Clash of Civilizations. The title Can you see...? addresses the questions: Can you see those bridges that link us? can you see what it is we have in common? can you see the culture of love...? Derek,
It is 2600 miles away. Phoenix is in the Low desert of Arizona, the southwest. Much different then here in Norhtern Kentucky. Highs in the winter in the 70s. But you can drive two hours any direction and see snow. I took a job at Phoenix Children's Hospital. I will be doing the same kind of work as I do here. Just up for an adventure. I always had a dream of moving to the southwest. Since Louie's passing last Spring I am not as grounded as before. I am a young healthy 52 year old woman. No attachments to a man as of now. My kids are grown... what a better time to take an adventure. I am up for it! My friends all think I have went crazy. Yea I will have to start all over, but I am OK with it all. I do well on my own and seem to get out regardless if I go by myself.
Abby, the pup, she is fine. We had a late fall this year and the weqather was much warmer then usual. So we have gotten in a lot of day hiking. She loves it. I am looking forward to the new hiking out in the southwest. Different then here. Should be fun. I do not get on MU much anymore. I need to add and up date the site.
And how has life been for you.?
Becky

But the big move is not until Jan. Lots on my palte. It is the time with my guitar that keeps me sane! Slow by moving along. This has been the best gift I have ever given myself. I hope to up date my site On MF soom. Hope all its well in your part of the wold! Have a blessed Holiday season!
