General
I have a doctorate in life coaching. I've recently developed a program to assist my clients called "The Alma Answers! 21 Sacred Soul Steps to Divine Solutions". I love helping women transform their existential suffering into transcendent joy. I provide support, motivation, inspiration and accountability to the women I coach.
I love reading, spirituality/ metaphysics of all types, comedy, rose gardening, dancing, working-out, meditating, Frida Kahlo, A Course in Miracles, and traveling. I seem to love all things English and Indiginous Mexican. I am also very interested in immigration reform. My overall goal in life is to relieve the suffering of all sentient beings (lofty but I still want to try!).
My all time favorite movie is the Mexican movie Like Water for Chocolate. For a long time my favorite movie was Ordinary People. I love anything directed by Pedro Almodovar~I loved Volver! My favorite actor is Gael Garcia Bernal. I also like Woody Allen movies. Spinal Tap always makes me laugh! For spiritual inspiration, I like: In Her Shoes, Deepak Chopra: The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success (more comprehensive than The Secret), Defending Your Life, I Heart Huckabees, and What the Bleep Do We Know. Who doesn't love I Love Lucy? I especially enjoy Saturday Night Live. I adore Amy Poehler~ can't get enough of "Weekend Update". I would love to see a taping in New York. I also love Absolutely Fabulous and the British comedians Eddie Izzard, Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French. I think Laurence Llewelyn Bowen hilarious. I love to laugh!
Books
I have been avidly studying A Course in Miracles since '92. I love to read and probably read a thousand books a year. For non-fiction works I love Pema Chodron, Marianne Williamson, A Course in Miracles (and its Urtext) and Wayne Dyer. I am interested in spirituality of all types and I study all paths in order to understand and learn from their essential truths. My favorite fiction writer is Laura Esquviel. Two of my favorite books are: The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl.

When a child is born, she encounters a perfect world of joy, laughter and love. Her innocence fills her with life and that life keeps her strong. As she begins to explore her world, she takes every step with confidence. She expects the purity that she carries within.
But instead of encountering the perfect world of love that she imagines, she encounters a world of war: Her home may turn into a place of conflict. In school, she learns a litany of stories about wars over the ages. And from the world on the street she learns hate and destruction.
Let children step into a world of goodness, kindness and harmony, not where the memory of love is buried with memories of hate and grief. Lets not disappoint children by giving them a world that opposes the one they expect as they take each step. Let children encounter a world where they can be free to explore their possibilities and their imagination. Our children deserve the best because they are all that we have. If we want to see a different world teach children love, help them keep the innocence and the purity in which they were born.
A thought of love will make a change. It requires no effort, it is simply there, being in the eternal realm of love. No person or existing beings would run away from the presence of love. Love is good. It is kindly. It brings joy and completion.
