About Spit at Stars (NEW BAD ROMANCE VIDEO OUT NOW !!!)
[Ita]
Gli Spit at Stars nascono a Sora (FR) nella primavera del 2007 sotto il nome di Run Over Bats. Iniziano come cover band di gruppi quali Distillers, Blink 182, Taking Back Sunday ecc..
Durante l'estate del 2008 esce il primo EP : "Murder on The Sixth Floor - Chapter 1".

They started playing songs of The Distillers, Blink 182,Taking Back Sunday etc..
After a few months they decided to write some songs under the influences of all the members of the band (from the 50s rock'n'roll to Blink182 pop-punk, from Melodic Hardcore to the modern emocore).
After some changes, the definitive line-up is: Carla Petricca - vocals, Francesco Salemme and Ivan Di Vito - Guitars, Cecilia Del Plato - Bass and Manuel Bianchi - Drums.
During the spring of 2008 Spit at Stars recorded their first EP in two different recording studios : the M.C. During the summer of 2008 the first EP "Murder on the Sixth Floor - Chapter 1" came out.
The three tracks (Innocent Breathing, Junkie Song and Nightmare Before Winter) are a mix of Californian Melodic Hardcore riffs and Modern Emocore melodies.
This mini-album contains also two special guests : Carlo a.k.a. Fuzzy from Me For Rent (sreamo on the first track) and Alex from The Ocean Project (synth on the first and the third track).
After many excellent reviews of some italian webzines (Ondalternativa, Metallized, Eutk.net etc.), the first radio broadcastings (also interviews and unplugged live shows),and the first live shows in Italy, the band played also in many summer festivals featuring great band like Ozric Tentacles, Coffee Shower and more.
In the Auguts '08 Spit at Stars came back to the M.C. and Music Station Studios (always directed by Simone Fiorletta)
to record two new cover songs "commisioned" by their own clothing sponsor, HelloMinor from Portland, Oregon USA.
