SPITSHINE first surfaced from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with their self-titled debut CD in 2001, introducing listeners to a fresh, melody-based, modern-rock sound anchored somewhere between INXS and the Goo Goo Dolls. The 7 song effort put the group on the map in Southeastern Pennsylvania, earning them several awards and appearances on regional compilation CD's.
SPITSHINE's 12 song 2004 release "TRANSAUDIO" was a huge success for the band. With several thousand copies sold in it's first few months it gained them respect among area music critics and a "Best CD" nomination at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards. The CD also took 2nd place in a Regional contest held by the National Grammy Association.
Here's what Jim Price from WBXQ FM in Altoona, PA had to say about
"TRANSAUDIO".
"The music is a soundtrack to their soul, providing driving guitar anthems, sing along choruses and heartfelt ballads. The live show delivers a diverse rock style with a PUNCH few can match. Fans of Pop, Punk and Rock will find plenty to cheer about throughout the album, with nearly every song possessing a crisp, catchy melody."
2005-2008
