what we're trying to do is expand and promote local poetry, music, art, etc.. and establish somewhere where people talk. like a socratic seminar, only urban and extreme. whatever SPITSHITLV evolves into, it's always going to be about that, getting people to pay attention to the things we create and starting something that's going to make an impact.
POETS: we're hoping to feature one of you every week at the open mic, with the week leading up to your live feature having your work highlighted on here... if you have anything for us to consider, or just want to share your work on the page, send it along and we'll put you up.
and of course, this is an open mic, so anyone who has something to read...this is for you.
remember that this is to represent the ever growing, ever subversive, ever expanding poetry scene in vegas... so get your shit out there because IT NEEDS TO BE HEARD. give us some revolutionary writing.
MUSICIANS: we want you. we're looking for mostly acoustic, but whatever if you're good. where we're hosting you can be amp'd inside, but if you want to play outside, it has to be acoustic. so... add us, message, whatever, and let us know if you want to play. this is kind of going to work the same way as the poetry, with you being featured for a week, and then playing, etc... and of course, for anyone, if you just want to play, the mic's open. go for it.

Located down the street, about a total of 5 minutes from the Mandalay Bay Hotel. The complex has (4) different areas to hang out. The Rock Room is the only area with it’s own private entry. The other Rooms within the complex know as The Playground are as follows: Obsession: this room is an after hours House, Techno, Trance, dance room. Crazy Horse III: this is a Gentlemans club for everyone Hooka lounge: smoking with a very chilling atmosphere, due to open Sept. 19th
about The Rock Room : This room has it’s own entrance, you can see it from the parking lot. Drinks are cheaper in this room, buy drinks here! If pay to get in to the Rock Room you’re are automatically allowed to have access to all rooms. Sushi served all night for all you Sushi lovers Pro sound , stage and lighting Dj’s will be spinning between band sets Overall the Rock Room caters to music lovers so please have an open mind and have a blast!
