It all started with a phone call and three people saying 'yes'. With only one month to prepare for their first show, Spivey Crossing was born inside the walls of the Lebanon church. Ever since 2002, Spivey has became more than just family and friends that joined together to do one New Year's Eve Show. They have became a band that is proud to represent the banks of the Brazos from Aquilla to Waco. When asked to describe Spivey, this is what Danny Hulsey of Austin had to say: "The first thing that comes to mind about Spivey Crossing is....Man, what a band and great sound! In my opinion they are the best band in Central Texas...and that's saying alot comin' from Willie Nelson and James Hand country! They've got charisma in lethal doses, with a smooth easy listenin' style from the first song to the last. Their volume level is always pleasantly balanced. We've lost count how many times we have gone to hear them (I've even been to a couple of practice sessions). I just want to thank Holli and Mr. Williams for your time and sharing your talent with all of us at Relay for Life 2009. Holli, you were absolutely amazing! Everyone LOVED you and I was shocked to see people still talking about how incredible you were, at seven in the morning! It was a true blessing to have you and your family come out this year, and always know that you are more than welcome to come back anytime! It was a true honor to have you sing the National Anthem! I honestly couldn't think of anyone who could have done it any better! Thanks dearly....
