Back in 2003 Jonny Strinati met up with Chris Hughes, also known as the production duo Groove Allegiance, at college in Manchester having both wandered in from relative obscurity.
Jonny's previous musical outings was holding up club owners in Leicester at gun point while Chris was terrorising the streets of Wirral with his busking.
After sharing musical tastes in techno and house Jonny stumbled across some early Fingerlickin' tracks. Both were sold and the idea of Splank was conceived.
Splank! wants to push things forward with their own brand of twisted funk, borrowing from electro, house, breaks and whatever goes
But lets not worry about musical genres, if it makes you dance come join our party!!!!!

Good morning young sir I was just wondering if you would grant me the honour of visiting my page to to lay down some witty and and constructive comments about Dirt mongering cone splitter,
For this month's Az-Tech we're proud to present a massive personal favourite of ours, Strider. We've wanted to book this guy since Az-Tech started. Strider's tunes are second to none at the moment. Sort of like a Welsh Justice lol. Visit is Myspace to check them out.
This is the second time we've booked an artist from renowned Manchester breaks label Splank!. Last June Splank! label bosses, Groove Allegiance played to a sell out crowd down at The Caves and cemented Az-Tech as one of Edinburgh's top nights.
