"With a razor sharp approach that draws equally from thrash as it does old school death metal, Splattercraft have a charging approach built on rhythmic riffs, tremolo picked madness and 80's thrash styled riffs. If you mixed Descanting the Insalubrious era Carcass with 80's thrash you'd start to have an idea of what to expect from this very heavy yet very catchy metal band."

"The vocals switch between an extremely guttural roar and a high pitched voice. The guttural voice is used the most and it is an extremely powerful sound with surprising clarity. While it is an approach that some might consider typical of the genre, it fits the music perfectly and the vocal patterns are just as catchy as the music. Forget about the gurgled beyond recognition vocals, this shows that vocals can be extremely guttural but still very powerful and clear. "

- Unbound Zine

Splattercraft was formed in the summer of 2003 by Matthew Elswick (rhythm guitar) and Brian Sexton (vocals). The two recorded their first independently produced demo "Gore Soaked Date Rape and Other Terrifying Tales" in a short period of time and sold many copies of the disc over the next few months. Word quickly spread and soon Splattercraft was playing local shows in their area.

After their set one night, Brian was approached by Kevin Holbrook (lead guitar) who was performing in another local band at the time. Kevin expressed interest in joining the group and sent copies of Splattercraft songs with his improvised solos layered over the top during the next few weeks. Impressed with Kevin's style and skill, Matt and Brian recruited him and immediately began writing material for their next demo release.

Early in 2004 songs were completed for the next disc, "Senseless Virulence". The band showed a noteworthy growth in their songwriting and sound production on this sophomore effort, and the material was met with praise throughout the death metal community. Playing shows supporting the material brought a larger crowd of people and a fan base that began to spread internationally.

"Senseless Virulence" had spread over the entire globe in a very short period of time. Splattercraft was contacted by Infernal Scum Records in France to contribute material to their upcoming international Gore/Grind compilation "Lithanies of Purulent Death". Cannibal Cuisine was the track chosen for the album to represent the United States underground Gore Metal scene.

In the year to follow, Splattercraft would disband following some personal issues within the group. Brian moved to Columbus OH in search of a larger Death Metal audience. Through mutual friends, Brian was introduced to Travis Jenkins (drums). The two shared a very similar taste in music and formed a fast friendship.

Brian formed a group with Travis, Kevin, and his brother Kyle called Trioxin. The group wrote a handful of straight forward Death Metal songs before playing a show back in the hometown of Grayson, KY. In addition to their own material, Trioxin performed a few select Splattercraft tracks. Matthew was present at the show that night and approved of Travis and his drumming style.

Brian kept contact with Matt over the next few weeks and plans to re-unite Splattercraft were made. It was a short time before Brian was moving back to KY to put things into full swing again. The band made the logical step of setting up a myspace and from there found themselves contributing to yet another compilation. "Zombrigade" was included on the "In Gore We Grind Vol. III" disc from Bootleg/Buried In Hell Records.

Splattercraft has since signed to HPGD Productions and will be releasing their first full length album, "Loathsome Lore" in the spring of 2009!

I am now recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment) for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him (Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection, and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of purchase!!!
