How do three women play the same lead role simultaneously? Not three women playing the same character at three different times of a life, but three simultaneous performances. On its own, this great hook sets the film apart from all others. But there’s more.
We shot the film three times, once with each actress- in order to cut the film to show each of Maddie’s personalities. We weren’t sure it would work, but it did.
The film is about a very special woman at three distinct junctures of her life. Originally adapted from the play Maddie's Disappointments the film is powerful, painful, amusing, funny and ultimately redeeming for Maddie Ann Carlson; a woman for whom nothing has ever gone right.
Director: Del Weston Thirteen years ago I walked into the Monet Cafe and heard a young woman singing. Her name was Shannon Ward. We spoke for a moment and four weeks later I walked back into the Monet Cafe with a script for a One Woman Play entitled, Maddie's Disappointments. Although she had never acted before she agreed to spend one year learning the script and then performing the show. To put it mildly, she was fantastic.
Eleven years later I produced the film version of the play.

Winner: 2007 Great Lakes Film Festival!
The Cast:
Robert Arbogast (Addison Carlson)
Every film needs a leading man and Robert fit the bill perfectly. With steely good looks, a powerful presence and talent to burn; Robert is the perfect character actor. Robert is now working on the stage and we look for great things from him as he continues his journey as an actor and performer.

Beatrice Neumann (Maddie Ann Carlson)
Beatrice is usually more comfortable behind the camera. As an incredible photographer she is a consummate professional, as an actress she is a real pleasure. Beatrice had never acted before but she has hosted segments for the Tattoo Nation television program so it wasn’t such a stretch to get her to work with us on this project. As the ‘angry’ Maddie, she is true, honest and very intimidating. We look for great things from her in the future behind and in front of the camera.
April Garton (Maddie Ann Carlson)
First of all, I can’t say enough about April as an actress. Through the entire audition process, I never doubted that she was going to make this movie. April has the ability to transform herself and her performance at the drop of a hat. This is scary talent and she is going to have a huge career. A triple threat, talented, intelligent and beautiful. This young lady is the whole package.
John Gilbert (Dr. Malloy)
John is a veteran of an incredible number of plays, films, television shows and at least three of my productions. Until I met John, I never understood why certain directors used the same actors over and over again. John is a very professional, capable and powerful performer who can bring passion and excitement into any role he plays. He’s kind of like the working man’s Christopher Walken. John is a class act and you will not find a more professional actor working in Hollywood.

Kimberly Kay Ludwig (Maddie Ann Carlson)
With model good looks, a powerful presence and more charm than anyone should have, Kimberly Kay is one of the best things about the film. Kim was apprehensive about the part at first, but once she decided to do it, there was no stopping her. A talented actress and a wonderful performer, she made a very difficult shoot a pure pleasure every time she stepped onto the set. It’s difficult to write a part now without having her in mind. www.kimberlykay.net
David Arnold (Orderly)
David Arnold is one of the funniest guys I know. Not just because he’s a natural talent, but because he really is a great stand up comic. In addition, David is a writer, producer and director who creates his own productions under the Manor House Films Label. David has incredible timing, great delivery and he never fails to get a laugh or to bring just the right amount of levity to even the most dramatic situations.
When is this film coming out???
