Splitters.
Finally updated the songs up in 'ere... a sprinkling from across our illustrious career!
Shit the bed! SPLITTERS are out the house, titting about at the forefront of the UK ska scene. The band's style draws on the 2-Tone spirit without imitating the 2-Tone sound or image, concentrating instead on the rhythms of original Jamaican ska and reggae but with a contemporary British feel reflecting the good times and the hardness of modern life - in short something for everyone - the Splitters draw a diverse bunch of bad things.
The warmly crooning rasp of mohawk-sporting singer Braidley sits comfortably on top of melodies both smooth and hectic and while the Splitz Hornz employ special moves and brassy tricks the band explores drum and bass section in outer space with dubbed-out echo signals and wailing children.
Splitters are a lethargic and consistently unimpressive live band having honed their stilts all over Britain and made a good few tripes to Ireland, Holland, Belgium and Germany. Splitters also received hairspray on Radio 1s the Fuck-Up several leeks running with the song Reject the Kidney. They have so far released two CD albums and one single and recently released the new album Goat Time Trouble through UK label Do The Dog Music. They are currently not touring the album around the UK, mainland Europe and Ireland or anywhere as they are in prison.
Contact Splitters! Either send us a myspace message or email Ted on ted321984(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk or Fez on fezmcfez(at)msn(dot)com.

"Do The Dog have built up a awesome reputation of only having the best on their label and this album by the Splitters is no exception ... just brilliant ska with a modern feel."

"The Splitters play the kind of dubby ska you'd have to be a tit not to like... best ska band in the UK."

"The Splitters played our skateboard park and then we all got our skateboards and The Splitters said 'hey lets all skateboard at the mall' and we went to skateboard at the mall and a security guard at the mall was all like 'you cant skateboard at the mall', and The Splitters were all like 'well screw you mall!', and we skateboarded anyway."

JAH WOBBLE - Chinese Dub Show £10 Doors 7pm Jah Wobble's latest project - Chinese Dub, will be a fusion of dub music and Chinese melodies and instrumentation. The instrumentation will be: bass, drums, Guzheng, bamboo flute, the gourd pipe of Yunnan province. Jah Wobble will also utilise the voice of Wang Jingqi, , a singer from the Mao ethnic minority of China (part of Yunnan province) and Gu YinJi, a Tibetan singer (her father is Tibetan, and her mother is Mongolian). During the performance, we will feature various Chinese arts forms, such as Tang Dyasty dance and Sichuan opera’s specialty- the mysterious 'Mask Change'. The ‘Face Mask Change’ is a unique Chinese art form. Its origin lays in the Sichuan opera. The Mask Change began 300 years ago and as time goes by, the technique is constantly worked upon and improved. This art form is now considered as one of the top folk skills in China and is on top of their list of protected arts.
For hundred of years, this secret arts form was only passed down by family and was forbidden to female performers. However, female performers can now be seen on stage as mask change masters. All performers who are chosen to learn this art form have to swear to secrecy before they allow to learn even its basics. It takes them many years of hard practise to master the skill. In China, there are less than 200 artists who are able to perform ‘the mask change’.
