The Marines, and my military families! Jon,and Jesus. But mostly: those who keep sending me chain emails! They have saved me from cancer, going bankrupt, and AIDS. Keep forwarding guys! Don't break the chain !
About me: Mollie was enjoying a professinal acting and stand up carreer in Columbia, South Carolina (where she received her degree in Theatre, Speech and Dance from University of South Carolina) when she met her Marine husband. After Sept 11th, he recieved orders to Camp Pendleton. They eloped, and PCSed to CA. They lived on base for four years, where her husband served 2 war time deploymenst to Iraq. Mollie continued to perform stand up during his deployments to stay distracted and positive. She has now turned her stand up into a career, and performs for the Silent Ranks at military bases all over. Please join her Military Wife comedy myspace page to see her show schedule, and exerpts from her book. www.myspace.com/janewaynecomedy
Who I'd like to meet: Memebers of the Silent Ranks, proud military wives, and thier families. The cast of SMALLVILLE: their story is just like my life, SO REAL! Its like watching life in the town I grew up in. Mostly I want my husband to meet Dr. Rey, so my husband could kick his ass, or choke him till he "taps out", at least break his hand so he would be forced to go home and feed his wife a biscuit.
MOLLIE! Oh, honey child, look at this fabulous article the Union-Tribune did on you last week! I'm so proud of you :-)))))

Mollie Gross, aka Jane Wayne, has turned her time as a clueless military wife into a stand-up routine

Mollie Gross uses her experiences as a military wife to create a stand-up comedy routine. She is bringing her act to Camp Pendleton Wednesday as part of her tour of military bases. Courtesy of Jane Wayne Comedy
Comedian Mollie Gross remembers what kind of military wife she was when her husband was in the Marines.
“I was the worst — absolutely did not know what I was doing,” Gross said.
She said someone gave her a copy of the book “Rose and Thorns,” which gives nonmilitary members of a relationship a better understanding of military life.
She needed that book, she said.
Gross now uses her experiences as a military wife to create her comedy routine. She jokes about how she wasn’t the typical military wife and the struggles of adjusting to the lifestyle.
Now, Gross is beginning a tour of military bases around the country to share her comedy routine, “The Military Wife.” Gross is starting her tour at Camp Pendleton on Wednesday at the Enlisted Wives Club and Officers’ Wives’ Club.
Gross met her future husband, Jon, while he was stationed at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. When he received orders for Camp Pendleton, the two eloped and moved to Southern California.
