About SPOOL

Spool is a group that brings influences from Aphex Twin to Joni Mitchell together to create their own unique sound. They try to meld contemporary electronica with traditional instruments by integrating clicks, bass'n beeps with evocative vocals, warm acoustic guitar and poignant violin,lap steel and piano. They have been playing and touring in cities and towns throughout Ireland and the U.K. for the past two years. HALFSET	Sep 23 2008 2:38 PM Halfset launch their second album "Another Way of Being There" this saturday 27th september the sugar club upr. leeson st. dublin the show will feature 10 new films created for each song on the album. the excellent chequerboard will be supporting. there will be a free after show party with Minotaur Shock(4AD/Melodic) we hope to see you there.

Pat	Mar 22 2007 2:02 AM Hey, Sean My nephew Trevor and his best friend Roberto are flying into Dublin on April 23rd. I was wondering if you might have a little floor space where they could camp out for 3 or 4 days? My nephew is also a musician and has his own band called Intricatemachines. He lives in Los Angeles. His band is also on Myspace if you would like to look them up and listen to a couple of new tunes he just posted. Even if you don't have the space for them I would really like you to meet him because I told him about you and Spool and I really think you guys would hit it off. Trevor & Roberto really would like to check out some of the music seen there in Dublin too while they are there and I thought you could help them out there. I would really appreciate your help and I know they would too. It's their first time to Dublin. Please let me know what you think.
