the spoondrift sound blends a bit of hip-hoppery, a few jazztasms, funk, quirky soul, with an extra classical twist from our string quartet...

when not spoondrifting, all the band play/sing professionally, in all genres (jazz, r&b, orchestral, pop, gospel, rock, soul etc) and have played with artists such as groove armada, peewee ellis/fred wesley (jb horns), dina carroll, jamie cullum, brian may, maxi jazz (faithless), bobby byrd and vicki anderson (james brown), kym mazelle, sam brown, gloria gaynor, tony remy, angie brown, trinity sinfonia, ledbib, boy george, abc, clem curtis (the foundations), dennis rollins, simon bartholomew (brand new heavies), michael and mark mondesir, camerata
