Spoonfed Hybrid was a fairly short-lived project by Ian Masters, who had just left Pale Saints and Chris Trout, then still in A.C. Temple. The band produced one album "Spoonfed Hybrid", one mini-album "Hibernation shock" and one 7" single "The Sun always changes my mind","Scary Verlaine".

hello boys. SCARY VERLAINE is the most ridiculously phenomenal piece of sound ever let loose upon the earth. the sound of the heavens falling, of souls flying. the sound of sweeping brilliance and buried treasure, guilded coins and gemstones sparkling darkly beneath the water. even better when it comes on in the middle of the night, as you lie there :half awake, half asleep, halfway somewhere else: and realize your lover is also there- next to you AND in that mindstate- experiencing that impossible beauty with you. it takes a few minutes to be able to whisper, to remember how to breathe, but when you regain control of your body and senses, it's like warm magic is pulsing thickly through the air in the room. you nuzzle like baby kittens, not quite fully awake, and it's all good, good, and you realize you are sharing this moment with someone that actually GETS it, someone who can comprehend the out-of-soul/mind/body phenomenon and float out and away with you. you try to discuss it the next day, vaguely remembering the wordless closeness, the wizard's majesty, the dreaming dogs, and the dim light from the tiny purple bulbs glowing in the closet that softly illuminated the moment like an unexpected gift from some other somewhere, but it's nearly impossible. the words don't work, and no combination of letters in any mortal language could ever come close to describing that moment. all that you have is the hazy memory of empireal surrealness and the hope that it will happen again someday, be it on this plane of existence or the next. whichever one, the wait is brutal. here's to not waking up, spencer distractionxXx
Who can end an album with "Boys in Zinc" ? Same people starting one with "Heaven's Knot". Was it really 1993 ? Sound like yesterday... At least, today we have Wingdisc.
"Mars Is A Ten" of ESP Continent is one of my favorite album of all the times. In Summer, in Winter, the night, the day, the morning, the afternoon, when i'm sad, when i'm happy... Every times. He says all.
I have no idea who "Masters" or "Trout" is, but I do enjoy a nice trout now and then. Or maybe I know who "Masters" and "Trout" are but I don't eat trout. I forget
