“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.”
-- Buddah
It’s been a little while, but as we approach the holiday season I wanted to drop in and say hello. Be well. -- Thom

noir, bars, women & cars - from vegas to dago, the brothels of germany to doha, kuwait: a wild & gritty collection of 17 cuts: pomes & prose, plus 3 excerpts from the novel, ‘the ants, thirsty,’ all from the former editor/columnist of 86…the man who put "hard fic" on the streets…the hardcore referee/translator/negotiator you’d hire when sitting bookended in a bar between nick tosches & chuck palahniuk.
"look, the stuff is good. quite good. straight up - like a good half-glass of whiskey." —dan fante, author of ‘mooch,’ ‘spitting off tall buildings,’ ‘kissed by a fat waitress,’ & ‘a gin pissing raw meat dual carburetor v-8 son of a bitch from los angeles.’
I got this off of a Starbuck cup and I liked it so much that I thought I would share it with you.
"In a world where celebrity equals talent, and where make-believe is called reality, it is most important to have real love, truth and stability in your life."
This is so true. I have found that having real love in my life to be so grounding and does not alow me to get stuck in make-believe land. Remember to seek out and treasure love in all forms.
It's a pleasure to meet you. :) May you live at peace and with the awareness of Universe's love in every sunset, every flower's unfolding petals, every baby's smile, loving partner's kiss, and every wonderful, astonishing, miraculous beat of your heart.
thank you so much for the invitation. i once met an editor from ttr in sitka alaska. he was so charming and encouraging--he had a profound impact on me at a very important crossroads of my life.
Scarily close, the business lobby, the government and the nuclear industry sales mongers (touting themselves as experts to take care of we trusting ones {not me}) would builld reactors, waste repositories, create waste, transport waste, slough off nuclear waste/spent fuel on peoples disenfranchise, often aboriginal, economically disadvantaged, and socially disfunctional.
Tomorrow, July 31 is the last day do complete the workbook for public input into the Uranium Development Partnership report. Please feel free to go to: www.saskuranium.ca
YOu need not read the entire report; somewhere there is an executive summary. The full report has summaries under each chapter. Where it saysworkbook you may fill in your opinion. If you think building anything Uranium/Nuclear is not International issue, then think again. Above Ground Nuclear tests, meltdowns, and many other compromises, leaks, spills and vents...spread all over the world.
Sit on your hands: lay your future on its back "as you lay dying".
