    Baseball Season

    A recent Scottish immigrant attends his first baseball game in his new country and after a base hit he hears the fans roaring run....run! The next batter connects heavily with the ball and the Scotsman stands up and roars with the crowd in his thick accent: "R-r-run ya bahstard, r-run will ya!" A third batter slams a hit and again the Scotsman, obviously pleased with his knowledge of the game, screams "R-r-run ya bahstard, r-r-run will ya!" The next batter held his swing at three and two and as the ump calls a walk the Scotsman stands up yelling "R-r-run ya bahstard, r-r-run!" All the surrounding fans giggle quietly and he sits down confused. A friendly fan, sensing his embarassment whisper, "He doesn't have to run, he's got four balls." After this explanation the Scotsman stands up in disbelief and screams, "Walk with pr-r-ride man!"

About me:

Sports Radio NY is comprised of a variety of sports talk shows, with a focus on New York sports. Shows air live every Sunday night between 9:00pm and 11:00pm, from the AM1240-WGBB studios on Long Island. Shows can be heard live both on the radio here on Long Island, or on the internet from this website. All shows and individual interviews are also archived and available for download from sportsradiony.com. New York is a competitive place, especially when it comes to sports talk radio. Our shows tend to focus on features with New York sports athletes, writers, and personalities not typically heard from on other stations. All of our hosts are passionate about their shows, and work extremely hard to put out a quality program each time they take the airwaves. So give us a listen, we think you'll like what you hear!
