We at Spotapup are strong believers in making the world a better place for pets. According to statistics gathered from The Humane Society of the United States, roughly 4 million pets are euthanized every single year at kill shelters in this country. And it’s estimated that more than 99% of the pets sold at pet stores are the products of “puppy mills,” or commercial breeding facilities. While many breeders are responsible, many aren’t, and we don’t want to take that risk. It’s also common at animal shelters to find at least a third of their dogs are purebred, and many more are “designer dogs.” So, with all of the cruel practices going on at breeding facilities run by unscrupulous breeders, we at Spotapup want to help in the fight to shut down puppy mills while getting all of the adoptable dogs out there the wonderful homes they deserve
